Spawned from jam sessions that followed At the Drive-In shows, the musical explorations here by Bixler-Zavala and Rodriguez-Lopez evolved into their current project The Mars Volta. Megaton Shotblast is a beautiful example of experimental dub music infused with electronica, latin, salsa and jazz.
