The left ear fell out of my JBL ear buds just the other day, and I bought the
Sennheiser CX300Bs based on several reviews by Amazon.com shoppers. Considering first the BOSE TriPort series (someone at work already had those),
Bang & Olufsen Earset3 (way too expensive), and
Shure E2c (too sharp), this seemed like a solid bet. You really do have to press the ear piece DEEEP to get the level of bass that other shoppers promise. They do create a fine seal though, and block out substantial amounts of background noise. Bikers take caution here. As far as the overall sound quality, it is much better than the factory stamped garbage that came with my mp3 player. And for only $20? Easily the cheapest of other choices. So why don't these come standard with OTC mp3 players? Oh yeah, cause then we wouldn't need to buy another pair!
